are at risk of mental stress during Covid-19, with more seeking help due to challenges related to studies and relationships.
CHILDREN & YOUTH
Majority of young adults aspire to start a family, but only 44% felt that it was important to
have children.
YOUNG ADULTS

MARRIED COUPLES

PARENTS
experience other pressing challenges, including pornographic addictions due to increased device use during Covid-19, and competing definitions of Family, gender and sexuality.

Parents are the first and primary line of defence for children, and working upstream with families will nurture resilience from a young age.
A grant from the Musim Mas BlueStar* Fund by The Majurity Trust allowed us to offer subsidised parenting webinars on timely and relevant topics surrounding mental health.
#StrongerWithFamily is a curated resource microsite developed to equip parents to journey with loved ones through mental health issues.
Through the generosity of Tan Chin Tuan Foundation, parents were able to receive individual coaching and counselling support to strengthen the emotional and mental well-being of their children.

THE HEART OF VOLUNTEERISM
While Covid-19 has changed the mode of volunteering, it has not robbed the genuine heart of our volunteers to believe in and contribute to Family. From supporting our digital initiatives to sharing their own stories and expertise, we are ever thankful for each volunteer who has come alongside us to impact families.

“Volunteering with Focus has been an enriching experience because I delved into and learnt from topics that I was facilitating. It is a reminder that we are not alone in this life journey and a supportive community is important to help us thrive.”
